I have been on a lifelong quest to learn as much as I can about healing the mind and body, both naturally and holistically. In college, while completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology— Life Cycles and Personal Growth— I grew interested in learning about food, health, herbs, and nutrition. While in college, my father was diagnosed with leukemia. He sought treatment from renowned energy healer, Dr. Barbara Brennan. I was so impressed with her approach and inspired by my father’s recovery, that I deeply committed to pursue further study holistic health.
With a desire to expand my knowledge in the newly evolving field of mind-body medicine, I enrolled in the Expressive Therapies Program at Leslie University, eventually earning a Master’s of Arts Degree. My final thesis, for my degree there, focused on Energy Therapies, which inspired me to further study Eastern healing philosophies and yoga. In 1992, I founded Delaware Valley Wellness Network. My vision was to offer a platform to integrate the ancient yet still “alternative” approaches, and the practitioners into the mainstream of health care across the Delaware Valley.
Throughout my career, I have cultivated an understanding of food and nutrition as powerful tools for healing. When I was diagnosed with Auto-immune disease and Lyme disease in 2004, it was a personal turning point which lead me to pursue a Doctorate in Naturopathy from the Clayton College of Natural Health, with high honors. Later, I earned my Board Certification in Traditional Naturopathy from the American Naturopathic Medical Association.
Indeed, healing my own symptoms with the Naturopathic principles of healing has deepened my commitment to help others and remains the guiding force behind my private practice to this day.
